Services provided to IP phones

UCS provides various services to IP phones such as directories, searches contacts, agents logging into the call center, etc.

DHCP Option 66

For functional auto-provisioning, you need to set Option 66 (TFTP server name) on the DHCP server

Directories

General settings of which directories are provided by IP provisioning phones is done in System → Parameters → Advanced → IP phone directory provision. Subsequently, each phone can be set up with its own set of directories in Telephones → Devices → Features → IP phone directory provision.

The following directory types are supported:

Type	Description
car	Automatically generated directory from existing flaps in UCS. Which flaps are included in the list is set in Extension → include in autogenerated directory.
auto=group_id	Only valves in the specified group, e.g. auto=123 for group ID 123. Valves in the selected group only, not in subgroups, are included in the list. Above all, for general settings, the variable auto={device.group_id} can be used, which contains the ID of the group in which the Device is included.
lookup=lookup_id	The contents of the selected local UCS directory, which is managed in Telephony → Lookups, eg lookup=456 for lookup ID 456.
personnel	The user's personal directory, which is managed in System → Users → Personal directory. The user is paired to the phone using System → Users → Primary phone or the User Mobility functionality.
